Introduction to “On The Road”
Our names are Chuck and Sandi Millar; we’re traveling musicians who have played music all over the United States. Typically, our main genres of music are singer/songwriter, folk, and bluegrass music. However, we love all types of music and aim to foster interest in all types of music and promote the education of it, whatever type of music it may be. We have two lovely daughters, Hayley and Kaysie, who are almost all grown up. One is in college, and the other is graduating from high school.
Three Year Plan
We made a plan about three years ago when our girls were both out of high school and settled into the next chapter of their lives, and we’re working hard to make our dreams come true.
The Dream
What is the dream? We want to go on the road, playing music, seeing the world, learning from those we meet, and educating those looking to advance their skills along the way.
Getting Closer
We’ve been on the road a lot over the past 15+ years and have worked our businesses and jobs for others at home, but we decided that we are happiest when touring and traveling around the US and Mexico. Now, the time is getting closer.
Downsizing
Downsizing our house has been a very big job since Sandi has been collecting antiques for many, many years. We’ve had over 20 online auctions through K-bid, donated to various charities, and sold stuff on Craigslist, the Facebook garage sale sites, eBay, and Amazon. Who knew how long it would take to get rid of everything you collected your whole life? We still have a ways to go. It's been more than freeing to let go of all the piles and piles of stuff.
The Goal of The Blog
Our goal with this blog is to encourage, teach, and inspire anyone to follow their dreams, not only in music but in all aspects of life. So join us on the adventure, and let’s see where it takes us.
