One Word February Writing Prompts - Lesson Pros
We are back at it! Here are your February one-word writing prompts! Take a moment to reflect on your progress from last month.- How often did you write?
- What did you like and not like about your experience?
- What do you want to do differently this month?
Below are all of the words for the month of February, with the 29th falling on a leap year or just a bonus word for the month! Using a few of the words from last month, I want to share some popular quotes. I find that it can be helpful to look at other perspectives to see how words can be interpreted differently.
CURIOSITY

PRO TIP
If you cannot find time to write, read. Look at the signs you see in a day while driving, the news headings, files that come up while you are working, posts on social media sites. Anything you see, read it. This reminds me of a quote by William Faulkner, "Read, read, read. Read everything -- trash, classics, good and bad, and see how they do it. Just like a carpenter who works as an apprentice and studies the master. Read! You'll absorb it. Then write. If it's good, you'll find out.
The more you read, the more you can experience, and the better you will get at writing.
This brings me to another quote by Dr. Seuss, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
