Weighted Keys Piano Recommendations

Which weighted keys piano would we recommend? We get a lot of questions from our students about which weighted keys piano we would recommend, so we wanted to do a blog post on it. Chuck and I had two different weighted keys pianos, so we did a lot of research on this. They were all very different in sound quality and touch.

Here is what we would recommend, depending on your budget.

#1 - Yamaha YDP103 Arius Series Piano with Bench, Black Walnut $899 - This is the one before leaving for Full Time RVing and we had and loved it!!! We would still have it if we didn't live in an RV.

#2 - The ONE Smart Piano, Weighted 88-Key Digital Piano, Grand Graded Hammer-Action Keys Upright Piano-Matte Black - $1199 This one has great reviews and has a USB (read the description and reviews this seems pretty awesome)

#3 - Yamaha DGX660B 88-Key Weighted Digital Piano & Furniture Stand with BB1 Padded Wooden Piano Bench - Black - $879 Check out the foot pedal on this one. This one has way more bells and whistles but doesn't have the three-foot pedals attached.

#4 - Donner DDP-100 88-Key Weighted Action Digital Piano, Beginner Bundle with Furniture Stand, Power Adapter, Triple Pedals, MP3 Function, Black - $759 Has the weighted keys and 3 pedals. Good Reviews, but they won't sound and feel as good as the Yamaha.

#5 - LAGRIMA 88 Full Weighted Hammer Heavy Action Key Digital Piano, USB/MIDI/Headphone/Mic/Audio Output Feature, Suit for Kids, Teen, Adult, Beginner or Training Institution - $386 Keys not weighted and only two pedals. Good Reviews but won't sound and feel as good as the Yamaha.

PRO TIP

Be sure to read the reviews before purchasing any item. This will ensure you are picking the right item for you.
